Pooh Perspective

Life can certainly throw us lemons on occasion. Lately it feels like it has thrown bag after bag of those sour fruits, with nary a sign of Tito’s to accompany them. So rude. As we begin the phases of reintegration, it might feel freeing or it could feel scary. Most of us have drastically changed our routines due to those lemons being tossed our way. Trusting our environment, our experiences, and even ourselves, may be challenging at first.

Fear is very powerful feeling. Fear should be respected- often it is warning of something that could endanger us. However, if fear rules us it can hold us back and impede our growth. Our minds are powerful. The messages we send ourselves can set us up for success or failure.

Changing routine can be challenging. Making lifestyle changes in diet and exercise may seem overwhelming or difficult to begin. We sometimes tell ourselves all the ways we might fail before we even get a fair start. I know because I’ve been there…but because I’ve been there, I can help.

We all have a choice to make every single day. We could worry about the possibility of a tree falling in the blustery wind, impeding our success. Or we can choose to acknowledge that maybe, just maybe, if we keep our head down and keep fighting forward, the path may remain clear.

Keep fighting, dear friends. Keep fighting the fears and insecurities, because you will always be your best investment. Bet on yourself to win, whatever winning means to you- I will too. You are worth it.
